My parents influenced me to be good towards others. They taught and still continue to teach me good things like how to be responsible, to respect people, to accept people, to seek God, to obey and a lot more. I also look at them as my inspiration in everything that I do. We as a family, communicate a lot, we are open about helping each other, giving advices, and telling us what not to do and what is the best thing to do. They inspire me, I can say that they are really the best.

Avoid drugs

Avoiding Drugs

One of the most major problems our society is facing today is drugs. Most users are just ordinary people that you wouldn't knew they would do such thing. Young people on the other hand, are gaining much exposure on drugs. It is available in parties or being sold by one of their friends/connections. There are at least 21 types of drugs used. ( Alcohol,  Bath Salts, Cocaine, DXM, GHB, Hallucinogens, Heroin, Inhalants, Ketamine, LSD, Marijuana, Ecstasy, Meth, Mushrooms, Over the counter drugs, Prescription drugs, Salvia, Steroid, Tobacco/Nicotine. ) Alcohol, LSD, Cocaine, Heroin and Marijuana are among the most common drugs used nowadays.

Alcohol- Also known as " Booze". It is a legal drug, only to be taken by people over the age of 21. It can still be dangerous if ingested too much. It can damage the brain, liver, stomach, kidney and muscles. There are approximately 5,000 people under the age of 21 dying because of drinking. ( 1,900 car accidents, 1,600 homicides, 300 suicides and hundreds of other accidents )

Cocaine- Also known as " Crack ".It is a powerful stimulant, meaning it keeps you wired all the time. It increases your heart rate, blood pressure, and body temperature. A person trying cocaine for the first time might get sweaty, shaky, including the most serious risks- cardiac arrest and even death. The longer you you use it, the worse the effects are on your brain and your heart. It can damage your nasal septum which resulting the nose to collapse. It can also from scab on your mucus membrane.

Heroin- Also known as " Smack ". It is derived from a poppy plant. It is produced from a morphine. Heroin is abused by injecting, snorting and smoking. It enters the brain very quickly, that's why it's particularly addictive. Prolonged use can cause infection of the heart lining and valves, liver disease, lung disease, Hepatitis, and possible HIV/AIDS from needle sharing.

LSD- Also known as " Blotter ". It alters your thoughts, which makes you think differently. In high doses, it can cause hallucinations and delusions. Changes can rapidly become frightening for users. They may encounter terrifying thoughts, feeling of despair, fear of insanity and fear of death. It can make you see images, hear sounds, and feel sensations that seem real but aren't.

Marijuana- Also known as " Blunt". It is legal in some countries including, The Netherlands, ( only in coffee shops), Uruguay, Cambodia, India ( with government permission/license ), Spain ( Only for growing the plant on a  private property for personal use ) and in some States like Colorado, Washington and Portland Maine. It contains 50-70% more cancer-causing substances compared to tobacco. One joint of Marijuana can be as serious as smoking five cigarettes one after another. Long time users suffer from bronchitis.

Some people use drugs to get away with pain, some being miserable and don't know what to do, some being abusive due to the fact that they are used to it and cannot last a day without it. That;s why there are many people ending up in rehab. But, even though they;re getting the help they need, they just can't get enough with it. Well, at least a few of the people who rehabilitated themselves ended up following the right path of life. Doctors call it an addictive drug if it makes you dependent on the drug. It makes you crave them more and more. It can make you physically or mentally addicted. When a person is mentally addicted, they do drugs because they feel like they're not normal without it. For example, some people do drugs before taking an exam, or going to work, etc. The drugs help them feel like they're normal and feel like they can deal with it. When a person is physically addicted, their body accepts the substance they're taking. For example, when a person is taking their first sip of beer, their body tries to reject it. But after awhile of drinking, their body starts to accept the beer as part of its normal chemistry. The body is tolerating it. If the person stops drinking/using drugs, their body cannot function properly because the person using deprives it from a substance it is used to.

It really is dangerous to use drugs. It ruins some people's lives. You might think it's fun, but no. It causes a lot of damage. Not just your life, but also your body's conditions.

There are some way to avoid drugs.

1. Realize that using drugs can end you up in prison, living on the streets, dealing with medical problems and even death.

2. Think about other things in life you can achieve that are more fulfilling than using drugs.

3. Realize that to enjoy life, doesn't mean to use drugs because you think it's fun but it's really not. Enjoy in a way of pursuing new interests.

4. Prepare for strangers ( at a street or party ) that may offer drugs. You should be able to tell them that you refuse to use it.

5. Talk to people who don't use drugs.

6. Think about your future and realize that using drugs will end you up in nowhere.
